Donald Trump posted a $200,000 bail for his booking for the election interference case in Georgia through a local bail bondsman whose previous clientele includes politicians and some of Hip-Hop's top figures.

The former president sought the services of Charles Shaw of Foster Bail Bonds, a Lawrenceville-based company with multiple locations throughout Georgia, Susan Barikof, a spokesperson for the bail bonds agency, confirmed to Insider.

"They have been working on this for several days and making arrangements," Barikof said.

In the eight years since she's worked for the company, Barikof said that she's seen Shaw assist "a lot of famous people."

His former clients include Atlanta's biggest rappers: Gucci Mane, T.I., and Rick Ross.

Shaw has also helped post bond for the current Morrow, Georgia, Mayor John Lampl as well as Claud "Tex" McIver, an attorney whose conviction for killing his wife was reversed last year, Barikof told Insider.

"Shaw is something of a bondsman to the stars in Atlanta," New York Times reporter Shaila Dewan wrote.

Shaw has been in the bail bonds industry for about 23 years, Barikof said. He's also the president of the Georgia Association of Professional Bondsmen.

Before that, Shaw worked with Altanata law enforcement and soon became a private investigator, according to Barikof.

According to the Times, Shaw is also covering the bonds of Mark Meadows, David Shafer, and Rudy Giuliani — co-defendants in the election interference case.
