- Huami has launched the Amazfit Pop in China.
- The new smartwatch comes in at roughly $52.
Huami has a reputation for offering cut-price wearables, with devices like the Amazfit Bip series and Stratos family. Now, the company is adding one more budget-focused smartwatch to its stable with the newly announced Amazfit Pop.
The new smartwatch is now available for pre-order in China (h/t: MySmartPrice), and you’re getting a design that’s clearly inspired by the Apple Watch. This means a square watch with rounded corners and a crown on the right-hand side, albeit with silicon rubber straps.
The Amazfit Pop retails for 349 yuan (~$52), but you probably wouldn’t have said so if you looked at the list of features first. Expect to find a 1.43-inch color display (320 x 302), an SPO2 sensor for blood/oxygen tracking, sleep tracking, menstrual cycle tracking, over 60 sports modes, and 5ATM water resistance.
Other notable features include 50 dial options, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, Huami’s PAI health assessment system, notification mirroring, music/camera controls, and up to nine days of endurance.
There’s no word on availability outside China, but markets like India already have plenty of Amazfit smartwatch options to choose from. Looking for more smartwatch goodness? Then check out our rundown of the best smartwatches.
