  • New renders have shed light on the possible design of the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition.
  • No headphone jack features, but a rear triple camera array is present.
  • The phone may also feature a plastic back, similar to the Note 20.

There’s been much chatter about the rumored launch of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, a budget “Fan Edition” of the S20 from the Korean smartphone maker. Now, we have a better idea of the design of the device.

According to PriceBaba and tipster OnLeaks, the Galaxy S20 FE may draw more design inspiration from the Galaxy Note 20 series than its namesake judging by renders created by the leaker.

While the Galaxy S20 FE is said to feature a metal body, its rear panel may employ frosted plastic like the Galaxy Note 20. This might be an immediate turn-off for some, but it would seem a worthwhile consideration to decrease the price without affecting the phone’s performance or usability.

Additionally, the phone’s rear camera hump may feature three sensors in a similar layout to the recent Note series. Previous leaks have pointed to two 12MP sensors and an 8MP sensor. The punch-hole camera up front is said to have a 32MP snapper.

The Galaxy S20 FE’s display is said to measure between 6.4- and 6.5-inches fitted within a 161mm long and 73mm wide body. PriceBaba believes the phone will measure 8mm thick, leaving enough room to fit a 4,500mAh battery.

While the publication does speculate on internals, it’s nothing we haven’t heard before. Samsung could stick with the Snapdragon 865 as used on its other S20 devices, or employ the Exynos 990 it uses in other markets. Additionally, up to 8GB of RAM is expected along with up to 512GB of internal storage.

As for price, it’s rumored that the Galaxy S20 FE could cost a fair bit more than the Galaxy S20 Lite, pushing it beyond the $700 range.
