  • Thousands of people rallied outside Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti's home in Hancock Park on Tuesday.
  • The crowd grew in size in the lead up to the 6 p.m. local time curfew before it finally began dispersing, KTLA reported.
  • "We want to make sure that what happened to George Floyd does not ever happen again to someone that just looks like me," Davion Pilgrim, a 16-year-old student, said at a press conference with Garcetti Tuesday night. "Losing our lives to police officers is one of the biggest fears that we have in South LA."
  • The mayor's comments came after many of his city's residents raged at law enforcement, in the streets and on a Zoom conference hosted by the Los Angeles Police Commission.
