Children around the world celebrate their fathers today. But in some households, this Father's Day feels different. I imagine that Father's Day feels devastatingly different for Gianna Floyd, daughter of George Floyd and the numbers of children who have recently lost Black fathers to police violence.
These children have had their fathers — and therefore a joyful Father's Day — forcibly taken.
