The Motorola Razr is probably the most disappointing foldable phone so far, at least when compared to Huawei and Samsung’s devices. Reviewers criticized the device for its build quality, price tag, and budget specs, with the Galaxy Z Flip being considered a much better clamshell foldable.
If for some reason you still want a Motorola Razr, then you really should look at this deal on the Motorola website. Droid-Life spotted a buy-one-get-one free deal on the official website, which means you’re getting two Razr foldables for $1,500.
This deal is valid until May 10 or while stocks last, the company confirmed. Motorola also clarifies that those buying two devices with the same colorway should adjust the quantity to “2” in the shopping cart. In any event, this deal perhaps suggests that the Razr didn’t meet Motorola’s sales expectations.
Not quite the best clamshell foldable
The Motorola Razr packs a Snapdragon 710 mid-range processor, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, a 2,510mAh battery, and a 6.2-inch foldable plastic OLED screen. Motorola’s device also features a 2.7-inch OLED screen on the outside for notifications and the like. Otherwise, you can also expect a single 16MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP selfie camera.
Meanwhile, the $1,380 Galaxy Z Flip delivers a Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset (seen in last year’s flagships), 256GB of storage, a 3,300mAh battery, and a 6.7-inch foldable OLED screen with ultra-thin glass. Samsung’s phone also offers two rear cameras (12MP main and 12MP ultra-wide), a 10MP selfie shooter, and a tiny screen on the outside.
Under normal circumstances, we’d easily recommend the Galaxy Z Flip over the Motorola Razr then. But if you absolutely must have two foldable phones and don’t care about specs or build quality (what’s wrong with you?), then I guess the decision is already made for you.
