Warriors Suspend Jordan Bell Under Mysterious Circumstances
We’ve heard a LOT of wild stories involving NBA players in our day, but this…this is different.
According to The Athletic, The Golden State Warriors have suspended Jordan Bell for one game for “conduct detrimental to the team” after he charged an in-room purchase to Assistant Coach Mike Brown’s room.
Brown was alerted to the charge. He inquired about it. The staff at The Peabody hotel, where the team stayed, confirmed its purchase. So the Warriors launched a quick investigation and it became clear that Bell is the one who put it on Brown’s bill. There was concern, sources say, that this wasn’t the first time Bell has pulled this maneuver on some unknowing member of the organization.
When asked about Bell’s suspension, Head Coach Steve Kerr tried to keep it in-house as best he could.
There still isn’t much clarity about what exactly was purchased but Steve Kerr’s refusal to comment further and reports that this type of thing was typical of the 24-year-old, leads us to believe that Jordan might have bought some porn. We don’t know that to be fact, but it damn sure feels that way. Why would Steve Kerr say “it’s our business and nobody else’s” if Jordan just bought a hamburger, or a drink, or 5 desserts?
It just doesn’t add up. Maybe we’re right and it was porn, maybe we’re wrong and the Warriors are just playing secret squirrel for no reason whatsoever. In any event, that room charge cost Jordan over $9,000 in lost salary.
We’re not the only ones with this theory. Jokes are FLYING down our Twitter timeline. Flip the page for a hearty laugh.
