- According to CNBC, the band's publisher asked Twitter to remove the original video, and REM bassist Mike Mills said on Twitter that "measures have been taken to stop it."
- Trump has shared other controversial clips in the past, including anti-Muslim hate videos, and has been widely criticized for doing so.
