The Samsung Galaxy S10 range is official and we have the full rundown of the specifications. Samsung continues to set a high bar for the industry, cramming in not only the latest high-performance processing components, but also as many extras as you could possibly want in your pocket.
Surprisingly, the company has a more affordable model in the new Galaxy S10e. Don’t be fooled though, this little sibling still packs in the familiar high-end processing and other features that fans have come to expect. The S10e model makes just a few smart compromises to lower its price.
Samsung Galaxy S10, S10 Plus, and S10e specs
At the heart of the Galaxy S10 specs is the inclusion of a cutting edge 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor or Samsung’s in-house 8nm Exynos 9820. This option depends on your region. The move to smaller 7 and 8nm manufacturing nodes spells big wins for power efficiency. Both chips also feature bigger, more powerful CPU cores and extra graphics performance for gamers this time around. There are also enhanced AI and 4G modem capabilities onboard both chipsets too. Bottom line: All three models will fly through your favorite apps.
Another big talking point on the Galaxy S10 spec sheets is the option for not just 8GB but 12GB of RAM. This option is available in the most expensive Galaxy S10 Plus configuration. Although we have to say that this amount of RAM is overkill for any Android app around at the moment.

Bigger divergences in the Galaxy S10 specs appear once we start to look at the cameras. The telephoto zoom is absent from the Galaxy S10e model, although it still features a wide-angle camera. On the front, the secondary depth-sensing camera is reserved exclusively for the Galaxy S10 Plus. Fortunately, all three phones share the same core camera specs, so they shouldn’t produce major differences in most shooting scenarios.
The three models also feature varying battery capacities. The smaller Galaxy S10e model has the smaller 3,100mAh capacity, followed by the regular S10 with 3,400mAh. The Galaxy S10 Plus features the largest battery size at 4,100mAh. With that capacity, the phone should give the Galaxy Note 9, Mate 20 Pro, and others a run for their money with multi-day battery life.
Tons of storage and a new budget option
Perhaps more important than the speedy processor and hefty helping of RAM is the absolutely huge amount of storage space available in the Galaxy S10 Plus. There’s up to 1TB on offer, if you’re willing to pay for it. Even the basic models start with 128GB of storage, twice that of the Galaxy S9. If that’s still not enough space, all three variants support 512GB more via microSD card.
At the other end of the range, the Galaxy S10e makes for an interesting value proposition at $749. In addition to the missing telephoto camera, the S10e also drops its display resolution down to 2,280 x 1,080 and loses the curved display edges. Although we’ve used plenty of high-end smartphones with an FHD+ panel and not noticed a substantial loss in quality. The phone also doesn’t feature the fancy in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, opting for a cheaper capacitive scanner mounted in the power button instead. But, given that the phone retains the Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 and Wireless PowerShare features, an IP68 rating, as well as high-performance specs, the compromises appear to be in the right spots.
