'I don't' think it's a contradiction: 2020 candidate Kirsten Gillibrand says fundraiser at Pfizer exec's home shouldn't be a cause for alarm

• Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York believes that a fundraiser hosted at a Pfizer executive's home does not conflict with her goal of minimizing "lobbyist money" from politics.
• Sally Susman, Pfizer's executive vice president of Corporate Affairs, is reportedly hosting a fundraiser at her home in New York on March 31.
• People familiar with the event say ticket prices are between $1,000 to $2,700, according to CNBC.
• Susman chairs the Pfizer's Political Action Committee and contributed to Gillibrand's campaign, as well as former President Barack Obama's reelection campaign.
• Gillibrand is not the only Democratic candidate to attend exclusive fundraisers for their presidential campaign — Sen. Kamala Harris of California will appear at a fundraiser hosted by Star Wars director J.J. Abrams and producer Katie McGrath at Los Angeles.

During a Fox News interview on Monday, Gillibrand was asked of news reports that Sally Susman, Pfizer's executive vice president of Corporate Affairs, was hosting a fundraiser at her home in New York on March 31. Susman chairs the pharmaceutical company's Political Action Committee and contributed to Gillibrand's campaign, as well as former President Barack Obama's re-election campaign.
