OnePlus has announced a new competition to help build the next great feature of its operating system, OxygenOS. In an email we received earlier today, OnePlus said it would be looking to its community forums for an idea it will implement in an upcoming version of its software.
Until February 22, OnePlus will seek out user-created concepts and inventions as part of its so-called #OnePlusPMChallenge. The best feature will appear in OxygenOS, and its creator will be flown to OnePlus’ next product launch to “see their idea come to life.”
OnePlus says it will announce the winning idea in mid-March and that the software team would begin working on it immediately.
OnePlus has created some guidelines to help participants create their ideas pitches, which will appear in the tech section of its forums. Terms and conditions also apply — you can read the full rules here.
