Facebook Buildings Evacuated Over Bomb Threat
The folks who work at Facebook got quite a scare today when several buildings on their California campus were evacuated due to a bomb threat according to CNN Business.
San Mateo bomb squad pulled up on Mark Zuckerberg’s block after a report of the threat came from almost 3,000 miles away via the NYPD Crime Stoppers Unit. All the buildings that were evacuated were cleared as safe and employees have returned to work.
“We take the safety and security of our people at Facebook extremely seriously and are glad that everyone is safe,” the spokesperson said in a statement. “We are working closely with local authorities to investigate this threat and further monitor the situation.”
