Here in the States, today is Labor Day, which means lots of people will be spending one last weekend at the beach, hanging out in the backyard with friends, and eating way too much barbecued meat.
But Labor Day also brings with it Labor Day smartphone deals, and we’ve got a few listed out for you below. If you can pull yourself away from the grill for an hour or two, take advantage of these deals as you could save a pretty penny as compared to buying tomorrow when some of these sales will end.
Save $300 on an LG G7 ThinQ or V35 from Project Fi
Google’s Project Fi is one of the best deals in general when it comes to mobile phone service. The only drawback is that only certain phones work on Project Fi due to the technology needed to seamlessly switch from CDMA networks to GSM networks.
Two of the phones that do work with Project Fi are the LG G7 ThinQ and the LG V35 ThinQ. Right now, you can save $300 on one of those LG flagships which would make the LG G7 only $449 and the V35 only $599.
The $300 you save will get applied to your account via bill credits. Depending on how much data you use per month, that could get you free service on Fi for up to a full year. Check it out below.
Save $90 off the already-discounted Essential Phone
The Essential Phone has already been drastically reduced in price from its original launch at $699. At Amazon, the regular price is now $399, which is an incredible deal for a flagship device with 128GB of storage and Android 9.0 Pie. But right now, you can save even more money: $90, to be exact, which makes the phone a steal at $310 with free prime shipping.
Save $180 on the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact
Sony just surprised us all with the earlier-than-expected launch of the Sony Xperia XZ3. A “compact” variant of the XZ3 wasn’t announced, but the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact is only a few months old at this point, so it’s still a great buy.
Right now, B&H Photo has the XZ2 Compact for $469, which is $180 off the list price of $649. This is a great buy if you’re looking for something powerful but a little bit smaller to better fit in your hand.
Save $100 on an Amazon Echo Show
It was very exciting when the recently-launched Lenovo Smart Display hit the market, as it’s the first smart display to feature integration with Google Assistant. But the Amazon Echo Show gets the credit of being the first smart display you could buy at all.
At a list price of $229, the Echo Show isn’t in everyone’s budget. However, today you can save $100 on the Echo Show which brings its price to $129 with free Prime shipping. That’s much more reasonable for a machine that will help you spend more money on Amazon.
Save $40 on a brand new Nokia 6.1
The Nokia 6.1 is already a cheap device at a list price of $269. But today you can save $40 on the phone which brings the price down to $229. Now, $40 might not seem like much, but if you do the math you’re saving 15 percent, which is certainly a bargain.
The Nokia 6.1 comes unlocked and works on GSM carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile (no Sprint or Verizon support, unfortunately). But its Android One operating system ensures you get the latest version of Android at a relatively quick pace, so that is definitely a perk.
