Since 2003, "The Bachelorette" has been flipping the standard "Bachelor" format by putting the woman in the driver's seat. And it's worked super well for the franchise.
With two marriages down and four more on the way, "The Bachelorette" is sitting pretty when it comes to lasting romance.
But since the show premiered 15 years ago, a lot has changed within the franchise. The show isn't the same that it was in Season one. There's more traveling, bigger budgets, and the promise of social media fame for even early eliminees.
There are so many things that happen behind-the-scenes that fans don't know about. Like what happens to the food on dates and who really plans the activities.

ABC/Craig SjodinThe male contestants compete on the show for free. But, they usually make up for it with social media sponsorships after the show. 2. It films over only two months.
ABC/Paul HebertINSIDER previously reported that contestants have from six-nine weeks to not only fall in love, but get engaged.
3. But the winner's time with the Bachelorette is even shorter.
ABCFormer Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky told Women's Health that, when all was said and done, she and her winner Roberto Martinez spent around 72 hours together over a handful of dates. They eventually broke up.
