Although Spotify has become a music juggernaut with offices around the globe, Stockholm will always bear special significance for the company. The Swedish capital, after all, is where Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon first set up their music-streaming service in 2006.
Spotify's billionaire founders recently made room for a growing workforce by relocating their Stockholm headquarters, with space for more than 1,300 employees in core functions such as R&D and marketing.
It's also among the swankiest tech company HQs you'll find in the Nordics, complete with state-of-the-art interiors and stunning vistas of Stockholm.
"Our offices are an extension of our culture, and part of our employer branding strategy," Katarina Berg, Spotify's Global Head of HR, says.
When designing the space, Berg says, her team drew inspiration from research and other well-functioning workplaces, "but mostly we focused on our own teams' needs."
From playlist-themed meeting rooms to a penthouse floor dedicated to fun and games, those needs seem to have few limits — both when it comes to working hard, and playing hard.
Take a tour for yourself.
