- The Epic Games website has revealed a list of devices compatible with Fortnite Mobile on Android.
- The list suggests devices with a quad-core chip and 3GB of RAM will be able to run the popular title.
- HTC and Xiaomi’s phones are missing from the list, along with most of Nokia’s phones.
Aside from an exact release date, compatibility is another key area that has remained elusive for Fortnite Mobile on Android. Fortunately, the Epic Games website has listed compatible devices (via XDA-Developers), accessible by clicking “get started”, and logging in with your Epic account.
Far from requiring a flagship chipset and a ton of RAM, Fortnite Mobile on Android has some relatively modest requirements. For instance, the Moto E4 Plus has only a quad-core, Mediatek MT6737 chipset and 3GB of RAM, yet it’s listed as a compatible device.
The game supports flagship phones from LG, Samsung and the like, but there are some interesting omissions. Huawei’s P20 series, the Essential Phone, the LG G7, the 2018 Moto devices, HTC‘s devices, most of the Nokia phones, the OnePlus series, Xiaomi‘s entire lineup, and Sony’s recent flagships are all missing in action.
Then again, the game isn’t out yet and, if the Moto E4 Plus is compatible, then the chances are good that these missing phones will work just fine. For what it’s worth, the Fortnite website also lists “other” as an option for Android, suggesting they expect more devices to be compatible than what’s on the initial list.

The latest reports suggest that Fortnite Mobile on Android will launch as a timed exclusive for the Galaxy Note 9. It’s claimed that the game will be exclusive to Samsung’s device for 30 days. So if you’re planning to buy a Note 9 anyway, it seems like a solid perk but, otherwise, you won’t have to wait too long to get playing.
Is your device on the list? Would you buy a Galaxy Note 9 just to play Fortnite? Let us know in the comments below.
