Jane Krakowski and Katie Couric team up for a brain health event hosted by AARP.
The 49-year-old Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt actress and the 61-year-old journalist spoke on stage at the event held to #DisruptDementia at Neuehouse on Monday (June 25) in New York City.
Jane, sporting a bright floral dress with red heels, discussed her father’s battle with dementia that lasted almost 10 years before his passing.
Jane revealed that she hopes sharing her story will bring other people comfort “and maybe relieve them a little of the heartache that it is to watch a family member suffer from this disease.”
“It was moving to speak with #JaneKrakowski this morning about her father’s struggle with dementia,” Katie captioned the Twitter photo below. “Today @AARP announces their commitment to #DisruptDementia with a $60 million investment in @TheDDFund to support urgently needed research into dementia prevention and treatment.”
