George Clooney is joined on stage by his dad Nick Clooney at the American Film Institute’s 2018 Life Achievement Award Gala Tribute on Thursday (June 7) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
The 57-year-old actor was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award that evening and his frequent co-star Julia Roberts was supposed to honor him, though she wasn’t able to make it at the last minute. Shirley MacLaine did the honors instead.
Nick, a former journalist and anchorman, appeared on stage to say some words about his son.
George‘s wife Amal was in the audience to support him and they shared a sweet kiss before he went on stage to accept the award.
