We've been covering Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, and live blogging the best sales for what feels like months here at Insider Reviews, and in between our coverage, we've been doing a lot of shopping on our own.
As professional deal hunters, we couldn't pass up the major savings we were seeing on clothes, cookware, and video games from big-box retailers like Amazon, Target, and more, and startups like Our Place and Parade. Naturally, we wouldn't keep the good stuff to ourselves, so we've curated the deals we shopped that are still available.
Here are the Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals we bought that are still available to shop now:
"I already have an Always Pan, but I love and use it so much that I decided to get a second after seeing its excellent deal. It never goes on sale and the $50 discount is substantial for a startup." — Jada Wong, senior home and kitchen editor
Coop Original Pillow"I'd wanted to try this pillow after reading our buying guide to the best pillows, so when I saw that it was 20% off during Black Friday, I jumped on the deal. It hasn't arrived yet but I'm looking forward to sleeping on them after several night shifts covering Black Friday and Cyber Monday." — Jada Wong, senior home and kitchen editor
Bombas Women's Solids Ankle Socks"My partner and I both asked for Bombas socks for Hanukkah and Christmas, and being the professional deal hunters we are, we sent the links to our parents during Black Friday so they could get a sweet discount on our presents.
Bombas rarely go on sale, so this is a really good time to take advantage. The current sale includes 20% off single pairs and 15% off value packs, which are discounted by about 5% to begin with (totaling 20%). That's as good a deal as we've seen all year." — Sally Kaplan, senior style and beauty editor
SodaStream Fizzi Sparkling Water Maker"While I pretty much always choose flat over bubbly for my normal H20 intake, I do enjoy seltzer for gin and tonics, Palomas, and other cocktails I whip up at my home bar. The fact that I never have to buy seltzer again combined with the discounted price of the SodaStream and the rate of cocktails I've been making at home since March, I'll break even on this purchase in no time." — Danny Bakst, manager, story production
Athleisure and loungewear from Girlfriend Collective"While there were plenty of cute clothes on sale this year, I pretty much live my life in loungewear these days, so I used the sales to bulk up on cozy athleisure and loungewear from both brands I love and brands I've wanted to try. I started with high-rise pocket leggings, classic joggers, and V-neck tees from Girlfriend Collective, all of which are 30% off right now. I've heard great things about Girlfriend Collective and its size-inclusive athletic wear and I love the range of muted and bold colors." — Lauren Savoie, home and kitchen guides editor
J.Crew Polartec Sherpa Fleece Half-Snap Pullover"Next I moved on to J.Crew, where I snagged this Polartec Sherpa Fleece Half-Snap Pullover for 60% off. I also couldn't resist this Bonjour de Savoie T-shirt (63% off!) because it's a rare day I find my last name on any item of clothing." — Lauren Savoie, home and kitchen guides editor
Essentials from Old Navy and Parade"Finally, I stocked up on some basics from Old Navy (50% off everything) and underwear from Parade, where everything is 30% off." — Lauren Savoie, home and kitchen guides editor
Skincare essentials from Glossier"Glossier is my go-to brand for skincare and makeup. I love how the products are vegan, cruelty-free, and thoughtfully designed for folks who want a simple skincare and makeup routine. Right now, everything on Glossier's site is 25% off, so I stocked up on my favorite face wash, the Milky Jelly Cleanser, and exfoliator, the Solution. I also threw in a Futuredew oil serum as an early stocking stuffer to myself." — Lauren Savoie, home and kitchen guides editor
Lego BrickHeadz Lucky Cat"I've been wanting a lucky cat figurine for some time but the thought of displaying a ceramic version was asking for misfortune. This Lego version isn't just cute, but it also befits my love for the brick and I won't cry if it breaks." — Les Shu, senior guides editor
Kasa Smart KL130 Light Bulb"There are so many great smart light deals on Black Friday. I bought this one and it arrived a day later. It was super easy to set up and is currently bathing my home office in a light show synchronized to Kacey Musgrave's Christmas album as I work." — Lauren Savoie, home and kitchen guides editor
$100 Apple Gift Card + Bonus $20 Best Buy Gift Card"Any offer that is a gift card with a bonus is basically free money. Since I subscribe to Apple One, this is money that I would be spending no matter what, so the $20 gift card is just nice to have." — Tercius Bufete, deals editor
Apple AirPods Pro"I live in the Apple ecosystem so when it comes to watching TV shows with my Apple TV late at night, it only makes sense to invest in something that would work seamlessly. Plus, this was the lowest price I had ever seen on these headphones." — Tercius Bufete, deals editor
Video games"I've rediscovered a love of gaming during the lockdown. I love cute and cartoony games, so I jumped on the sales for Yoshi's Crafted World and Super Mario Bros U Deluxe, both $20 off the regular price. I also bought Slime Rancher on Steam for 70% off and it'd already supplied hours of amusement over the last few days. Finally, sort of uncharacteristically, I purchased a game that my husband says is probably way out of my interests, Watch Dogs: Legion. It was almost 40% off and I was intrigued by the reviews of very realistic maps of London, which piqued my inner travel bug." — Lauren Savoie, home and kitchen guides editor
"I wanted a new game to play, and this one had good reviews. Plus, it's never a bad idea to stack a discount with a free gift card." — Tercius Bufete, deals editor
Roku Streaming Stick+"I've been using my first-generation Chromecast with my living room projector, but it just became too much of a hassle. This Roku Streaming Stick+ promised to be an excellent value." — Tercius Bufete, deals editor
Face masks"I just bought these printed face masks for 40% off from Levi's. I love the paisley pattern, and appreciate how I can flip them over and wear the plain side if I ever get tired of the pattern. I was also excited that they come in three different colors so that I can have some options." — Lily Oberstein, production fellow
Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel Packettes"I bought these for the first time after a glowing recommendation from Insider Reviews senior editor Sally Kaplan. She says in her review it 'works to clear up my acne and my redness and my roughness and my unevenness all at once.' I have a pretty decent skincare routine, but I think need something a little stronger. These are still expensive with the discount, so I'll probably use them once a week." — Elisabeth Chambry, strategic partnerships manager
CB2 Stairway White 72.5-inch Wall Mounted Bookcase"I bought this bookcase from CB2. I'd been eyeing it for a while since it matches a desk I already own and perfectly fits my wall space. Since it's pricey, I'd been hesitant to buy it, but the current 25% off sale sealed the deal." — Hannah Freedman, associate travel editor
