But now you can find out which European city is cheapest to get to depending on which state you live in. The travel-booking site Kayak, which helps travelers compare flight costs, has determined which European cities are the cheapest to fly to from each state based on the median price of round-trip flights.

From Reykjavík to Dublin, check out the cheapest European city to visit based on which state you live in below.

ALABAMA: Reykjavík, Iceland

You could visit Iceland's capital city from Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport for an average of $660, while making the trip from Huntsville International Airport costs $735 on average, according to Kayak.

On average, flights to Reykjavík, Iceland, from Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport cost $693.



ARIZONA: Reykjavík, Iceland

Reykjavík, Iceland, is also the cheapest European destination to visit from Arizona. Flights from Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix, Arizona, cost an average of $831, while jetting from Tucson International Airport will cost you an average of $662.
