  • AWS Summit San Francisco was set to be held at the city's Moscone Center on April 14, but it will instead hold a digital event.
  • "We've reached this decision after much consideration, as the health and safety of our employees, customers, and partners are our top priority," Amazon said in a statement.
  • Word of the cancellation comes after two attendees of the RSA cybersecurity conference in San Francisco tested positive with COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus.

Amazon Web Services is canceling its Summit San Francisco event due to concerns over coronavirus. 

The event was supposed to take place April 14 at the city's Moscone Center. It's one of many city-specific summits that AWS hosts throughout the country and worldwide. Last year, the San Francisco event brought over 6,000 attendees.
